Things have been a bit quiet on the blog front recently, sorry about that. Life is busy but also I'm just back from two weeks cycling in Nova Scotia, Canada - which was fab! Lots of sketches and photos were taken and many blueberry muffins and large ice creams fuelled the 720 miles of cycling through lovely landscapes.
I'm hoping to work up a number of my sketches into fully illustrated pieces and use my photos as a reference to sketch from over the coming weeks/months. I'll post them here when I do.
Here is the first. Some of the coastal buildings were stunning with wharfs towering over the water, held up by wooden beams, as were many of the buildings attached to the wharfs.
We thoroughly enjoyed exploring this corner of Canada, the people were really lovely and friendly and the many blueberry muffins we sampled were very yummy indeed.
