Another lighthouse!

This one is another from our trip to Islay - Port Charlotte. It's not bright orange in real life.

Lighthouses

I love being at the coast and lighthouses often feature in that environment, so I have found I have quite a few photos of lighthouses that I have taken on my travels. On wet days off work they are great for sketching from.

Top one is from a photo I took of Bass Rock. I was on a photo comp trip I had won to see the hundreds of gannets that live there.  The one under that is from a sketch I did at Ardnamurchan point - west coast Scotland mainland.

Islay - west coast Scotland

Illustrations I have worked up of my sketches from recent cycling trip to Islay off west coast Scotland.  They are not exact representations of what is there, I have added a little of my own interpretation but I think you would still recognise them as being from the locations we cycled to.

Such a great wee island that I hope to return one day.
